This series is honestly one of my favorites and it sucks that this is the end. But by golly, if you’re gonna leave with a bang, this is the way to do it.

Hart of Mine is the final novella in the Cale & Mickey series, and of course it follows the ups and downs of their relationships. Since this was a novella, there was understandably not a fully fleshed out plot (I wish there was!!) and I did feel a bit like this one was more a collection of scenes than a story with a main plotline, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. There was still a nice little balance of serious arguments and cute, fluffy scenes that reminded me how much I shipped these two.

I’m honestly so thankful that Cale and Mickey are still the same characters I grew to love in the original book – witty, sarcastic, and stubborn in a way that sometimes makes you wonder how they deal with each other. But keep reading, because – oh. That’s how.

And of course, the writing style is just as amazing as always.
