I am NOT accepting books in the following genres:

- Erotica
- Middle Grade
- Manga / Comics
- Screenplays / Scripts
- Self-help books / “How To” Books
- Religious Fiction
- Historical Fiction
- Memoirs / Biographies
There are exceptions. If you are unsure whether or not your book will be accepted, feel free to check out my Goodreads to see if it’s on my TBR shelf, or if I’ve read it already. If there are lingering questions, please email me.
Note: If I have read your book, but did not review it (for some reason) – feel free to send me an email requesting a review.
Sending a copy of your book prior to my accepting it does not guarantee a review. Send me a pitch of your book, and if it sounds like something I would like to read, I will respond.
If I do not want to review a book, I will most likely not respond to the email, unless there is something specific I would like to talk to the author about.
If I accept a book for review, I will make every effort to read and review in a timely manner. I’m a really fast reader, so if I enjoy the book, reading and reviewing it could take less than a week! Authors may request when reviews will be posted (ex: before release date, during a blog tour) is negotiable. When requesting a review, make sure to include any specific time requests.
Note: I am very flexible in terms of my schedule, but I will prioritize review requests that have definitive deadlines!
I will write a review for almost every book I finish. The length of my reviews will vary, depending on what I have to say regarding each book.
All requested reviews will be posted on the following sites:

- LibraryThing
- Amazon
The author may request that I post my review elsewhere. Reviews will be mostly similar across sites, aside from small modifications due to formatting.
My reviews are written in relaxed, conversational tones and are meant to be casual. They are not professional literary critiques.
Reviews will always be fair and honest, but not necessarily positive. My posts will reflect what I thought about each book – if a book did not appeal to me, my review will definitely reflect that, and I will explain why the book worked or why it didn’t.
One thing I pride myself on is finishing books. There have been some extreme cases in which I have been unable to; however, if I accept a review request, I guarantee that I will finish the book, and I will read and review it with full honesty.
As stated above, my reviews are casual and conversational.
My reviews focus on, but are not limited to, three aspects: writing style, plot, and character development. In most reviews, I will address all three categories.
If you would like a specific review format, please say so in an email – I am open to adjusting my format accordingly.
Rating System
✮✮✮✮✮ = I loved this book and would definitely reread + recommend.
✮✮✮✮ = I enjoyed this book, but there was either something missing or something I didn’t like.
✮✮✮ = This book was okay for me – nothing stood out to me, and and it may have fallen flat. There may have been some things that bothered me too much for me to enjoy it.
✮✮ = There were either many things I didn’t like, or I thought the book wasn’t enjoyable overall. However, there may have been some parts of the book that I liked.
✮ = I didn’t like this book at all. (Reasons vary.)
I sometimes use decimal ratings because full stars are often not enough for me to feel like I provided an accurate rating.
Ratings are based on my own enjoyment and are not objective pieces of analysis.
Giveaways
I would love to host giveaways for you; however, these books must also abide by my criteria for review requests. Please refer to the format and genre requirements of this page.
If you would like me to host a giveaway, email me at etherealpagesblog@gmail.com and include the following information:
- Title / Author
- Format of the book (ARC, hardcover, paperback)
- Shipping requirements
- Run time of the giveaway
- Any additional information you would like included (photo of prize, blurb, signed?, etc)
Following this blog and/or other of my social media will never be a requirement – whether it is to host a giveaway, or to enter one.
I am happy to host author guest posts, interviews, and advertise books; please email me with the following information:
- Your name and the name of your book
- A brief description of your book (or link to Goodreads)
- When you would like to be featured
- If you would like to include a giveaway + other requests
- Guest posts/Interviews: will you provide a topic/questions or would you like me to?
If I have not read your book (check my TBR!) and you are coming up with the topic, I would prefer a copy of your book.
If I have not read your book and I am coming up with the topic/questions, then I do need a copy of your book. I would like to receive it at least two to three weeks before you would like to be featured. (The format requirements for this are the same as that of review requests.)
