General information
Hi and welcome to my review policy page! I post review requests, author interviews, giveaways, advertising posts, blog tours, and guest posts.
Please ensure your request abides by the policy below before you email etherealpagesblog@gmail.com.
What book formats do you accept?
I accept the following:
- print ARCs
- finished copies
- pdf files
- e-pub files (e-books)
- audiobooks
What genres do you accept?
I accept Adult, New Adult, and Young Adult books in the following genres:
- Fantasy / Fairytale / Mythology
- Romance
- Chick Lit
- Contemporary
- Science-Fiction
- Paranormal
- Mystery
- Crime / Detective
- Magical Realism
- Adventure
- Thriller / Suspense
- Horror
- Graphic Novels
I am NOT accepting books in the following genres:
- Poetry / Short Story Compilations
- Non-fiction
- Erotica
- Middle Grade
- Screenplays / Scripts
- Self-help books / “How To” Books
- Religious Fiction
- Historical Fiction
- Memoirs / Biographies
If you are unsure whether or not your book will be accepted, feel free to check out my Goodreads to see if it’s on my TBR shelf, or if I’ve read it already. If there are lingering questions, please email me.
Note: If I have read your book, but did not review it (for some reason) – feel free to send me an email requesting a review.
What should I include in my email?
Include the following information about your book:
- Your book’s genre
- A blurb of your book
- The format being offered
- Review deadline (publication date, for example)
Please don’t send the full file of your book in the first email! Sending a copy of your book prior to my accepting it does not guarantee a review. If it sounds like something I would like to read, I will respond and you can send it then.
Unfortunately, I get a lot of emails so you might not hear back from me if I’m not interested in reading the book or if I have too much on my plate.
If you do hear back, yay! Read on for what happens next.
My book was accepted for review! What now?
Now, you wait! If you communicated a deadline for your review request, the review will be posted and I will reply with those links by that deadline, 100% guaranteed.
If you did not have a deadline for your request, no worries — I will still make every effort to read and review in a timely manner. I can estimate 2-3 weeks, depending on how much of a review backlog I have at the moment.
Reviews will be posted on the following websites:
- This blog (EtherealPages)
- Goodreads
- LibraryThing
- Amazon
You may request that I post my review elsewhere. Reviews will be mostly similar across sites, aside from small modifications due to formatting.
All my reviews follow a very loose format, starting with a blurb, then covering the plot, characters, and writing style. This varies from book to book; my reviews are written in relaxed, conversational tones and are meant to be casual. They are not professional literary critiques.
Reviews will always be fair and honest, but not necessarily positive. My posts will reflect what I thought about each book – if a book did not appeal to me, my review will definitely reflect that, and I will explain why the book worked or why it didn’t.
One thing I pride myself on is finishing books. There have been some extreme cases in which I have been unable to; however, if I accept a review request, I guarantee that I will finish the book, and I will read and review it with full honesty.

Giveaways
Please email me with the same information:
- Your book’s genre
- A blurb of your book
- The format being offered
- Giveaway deadline
I am open to the giveaway being hosted on my website directly, or simply making a post sharing an existing giveaway.
Following this blog and/or other of my social media will never be a requirement — whether it is to host a giveaway, or to enter one.
Guest Posts
Please email me with:
- The theme/subject you’d like to cover
- The date you want it posted
If I think your post will be a good fit on my feed, I will reply and we can work out the details. If I have not read your book, I would prefer a copy.
Interviews
Please email me with:
- Author name and bio
- If you have questions in mind or if you’d like me to come up with them
If I have not read your book (check my TBR!) and you are coming up with the topic, I would prefer a copy of your book first.
Advertising Posts
Please email me with:
- Contents of the article — marketing graphics, links to purchase, etc.
- Publication date of the post
